Sharvon is a freelance photographer, videographer, and graphic designer. She always had an interest in photography, from a very young age, whether it was snapshots of her friends, or producing videos in high school. Greatly influenced by her father who was a photographer while in the military, focusing on the great sights he was exposed to in his travels, she realized that a picture can capture great memories to be shared with generations to come.
However, she did not fully hone in on her natural talent until she got to college where her photography professor and classmates responded with great enthusiam to the photographs she produced. She attended Cabrini College where she received a B.A. in English & Communication. Her concentrations in Journalism and Marketing created a basis for understanding how people perceive images and process messaging, and she has continued to build her expertise in imaging and branding with professional experience in Marketing Communications, Business Development and Customer Service.
She began her freelance photography career in 2005 after frequent request from friends and family for portrait photography, and formed SP Photography in 2009 as her exposure throughout the Philadelphia area began to expand. As a photographer, videographer and graphic designer, Sharvon provides an array of services to give clients a one-stop shop for their imaging needs. Her focus is providing quality service at an affordable price, and producing end results that meet or exceed her clients' expectations.
Sharvon is also the volunteer Director of Marketing for the Philly Youth Poetry Movement, and the photographer and graphic designer for the poetry collective Spoken Soul 215. Her photography has also been published in the Philadelphia Inquirer, as well as several other online publications.
