Voluntary Roles
Volunteered as crew member for the Anthony Robbins UPW London for 2013, 2014 and 2015. Anthony Robbins is a motivational speaker and uses techniques such as NLP. Gary King, a senior member of the Robbins team, will act as a reference for me.

Voluntary work included PTA membership at OLOL, Wanstead, catechist for 1st communion programme and admin and website help with childrens swimming and diving clubs.

EA Payroll
Jointly owned home business bookkeeping service with a friend. We mainly performed payroll duties for small companies of less than 25 employees. However, we also had an accounting function. We set up purchase and sales ledges, updated cashbooks which were reconciled to bank statements ensuring clarity for the accountant who would certify them for HMRC. We used the computerised system, ‘Moneysoft’, initially, and upgraded later to Sage. We also produced spreadsheets, using Word Excel, to analyse and break down information on request.

1988 to 1999 Lloyds of London
1988 to 1991 Lambert Brothers Underwriting Agency, who were based in the Minories, City of London. Role was the point of contact for allocated Names/ Investors to perform various compliance, administrative and accounting functions

1991 to 1996 The Brockbank Group, Rood Lane, EC3
A larger role leading a team of three to prioritise and settle synidcate losses over three currencies and several hundred syndicates. Also I ensured keep investors were compliant with Lloyds rules which allowed them continue to carry on business there. This was done over several types of reserve accounts. Liased with their legal, accounting and broking representatives.

1997 - 1999 Cater Allen (UA) Limited
Dealt with resigned Names/ Investors who still had outstanding contingent liabilities, as yet unidentified. An example of this is someone who invested in a syndicate with exposure to asbestos claims well into the future. Liaised with their representatives, mainly brokers, accountants and solicitors.

1985 to 1987 Walsh, Muldoon and Company. Drogheda, Co Louth, Ireland.
Auditor and part qualified accountant. Duties were to assist accountant prepare draft final accounts. Prepare or/ and audit cash books, bank reconciliations, sales/purchase ledgers, nominal ledgers to draft trial balance and final accounts. Preparation of VAT returns etc.

I have a good knowledge on many aspects of administration in a modern working environment with good communication, problem solving and organisational skills. My knowledge and skills include

Sound knowledge of Google+ documents, sheets and calendar. Also MS Word and Excel and Apple packages, Pages and Sheets
Database knowledge MySQL.
Excellent knowledge on Wordpress to create beautiful blogs and websites. Am able to manipulate plugins and widgets to fit into the site. I have a good working knowledge of HTML and CSS stylesheet coding which gives me the ability to customise sites.
