My Artist’s Biography
My name is Donna L. Makey; I live and work just outside York, North Yorkshire. In 2009 I achieved a BA in Fine Art Practice from York St. John University. The mediums I work with are primarily embroidery/textiles, painting and photography.
I have been commissioned to create a piece of artwork for the National Railway Museum, which formed part of a temporary exhibition before it was purchased by the museum to go on permanent display.

2003-2004 GNVQ Intermediate Art and Design (merit), York College
2008 Created work that was part of a temporary exhibition at the National Railway Museum in York. The piece was then purchased by the Museum to go on permanent display.
2008 Site specific installation, Holy Trinity Church, Goodramgate, York.
2009 Graduate exhibition, York St. John University
2010 Windows of Opportunity, York. Created work that went on public display in a shop window in York city centre.
