Emma Moore is an artist who explores both functional and conceptual ceramics. Her conceptual work consist of narrative pieces, which address issues such as the cycle of life, war, and politics.
As well as ceramics this diverse artist also enjoys delving into the world of glass design, which she studied in Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. She also worked at the design department of Waterford Crystal, creating numerous one-off pieces and commissioned glass pieces. As a product designer she made it her goal to be trained in all mediums. Having worked in plaster, silicone, latex, fiberglass, polystyrene, concrete, ceramics, glass, metal and textiles, through studies in Ireland, the University of Design in Budapest and additional courses.
Emma has completed a four year BA in product design, in the Limerick School of Art and Design, where she was rewarded a first class honors, 1.1 degree. She also studied at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, in Budapest, in 2011. Here she studied textile design, glass design,jewellery and concrete design.
She was awarded the Ceramics Ireland Award of Excellence.
Emma is currently continuing her career in product design; while placing most of her attention pursuing a career in large scale commercial sculptures, scenic art work and visual merchandising.
