I am a 63-year old retired Philadelphia history teacher and a former proofreader with experience in proofreading dating back to 1973 when I proofread for the Philadelphia Jewish Exponent. That year, I received the B.S. in Journalism from Temple University, in Philadelphia. I also have the m.A. in Moern European History, 1976, fromTemple, as well as the post-baccalaureate certification in social studies education (PA) from Temple University, December 22, 1978.Other proofreading work has included TV Guide Magazine, 1973-1974, Colonial Penn Insurance, 1974, triangle Rotogravure Plant, 1978, Arete Academic American Encyclopedia, 1979, medical free-lance proofreading for Lippincott in 1981, proofreading for Arthjur Andersen accounting firm, 1981-1982, proofread for the Composing Room typesetting firm, proofreading for Penn Colour Graphics, 1986, Union Fidelity Life Insurance, 1987-1988, and ,briefly, in 1993, proofreading in advertising for the Northeast Times. Teaching has included February 1983-June 1984, staff instruction in history at Rittenhouse Academy, and, from 1992 to 2013, working as a staff-appointed secondary social studies teacher for the School District of Philadelphia, retiring on June 24, 2013 from the staff of Central High School.
