I am a career technical writer, Quality Investigator, and QA Quality Engineer in the IT and pharmaceutical industries. I have six years of experience as a deviation investigation report writer, during which time I helped to bring two drug manufacturing sites under FDA warning letters to VAI status (a clean bill of health). Prior to my time in pharma I gained proficiency in page layout, technical writing, and technical editing for information technology and tech publishing companies.
On the freelancing side, I am a veteran of the era of Amateur Publishing Associations, co-author of a nonfiction book on pirate radio, and published in a small way in a couple of different periodicals. I wrote five half-hour radio plays for "While Reason Sleeps," focusing on the bizarre and supernatural. I have authored a feature-length screenplay centered on the Columban monks of Iona, the Vikings who plundered them, and the Book of Kells. After a recent jag of commercial writing as my day job, my batteries are once again charged and I am looking to jump back into the fiction fray.
