? Led and oversaw all facets of National Outdoor Living & Seasonal Business which included leading strategy, finance, category management, human resources, marketing and supply chain for a $ 140 million/280 store business. Reported to Senior Vice President, Hard-lines.
? Partnered with Zellers SVP, Hard-lines and re-engineered $ 1 billion Home division in 2009 resulting in high single-digit sales improvement post launch. Created and implemented new line review process, import calendar, advertising management process and brand strategy.
? Led turnaround of $ 50 million Patio business through revised assortment, pricing and advertising strategy that grew sales by 1.4% and GP $ by 124% in 2010.


LOYALTYONE (AIR MILES REWARD PROGRAM), Toronto 2008 – 2009

? Oversaw Canadian Tire’s $ 300 million reverse logistics product returns function supporting $ 8 billion sales base and 450 store network. Also accountable for quality management and operations component of environment health and safety area. Led 13 person team, consisting of 3 managers and 10 analysts. Managed 2 third-party quality management service providers. Reported to SVP, Business Development.
? Negotiated multi-year outsourcing agreements with 2 third-party quality service providers providing Canadian Tire with global quality reach, substantial cost savings (20%) and speed to market gains.
? Led strategic drilldown of process and organization and created blueprint for new reverse logistics program that called for a positive $ 20 million net present value (NPV) and improved customer satisfaction over a 5 year period.

? Managed Canadian Tire’s $ 2 billion import department with global team of managers, analysts and agent partners. Led 12 person team consisting of 3 managers and 9 analysts. Led objectives setting & master work plan for about 40 team members. Reported to SVP, Business Development.
? Contributed to strategic development and led tactical execution of the redesign of Global Sourcing. Led dozens of sourcing projects over a 3 year period resulting in the company’s import purchase mix increasing by 900 basis points, facilitating cost savings and incremental GP$ of $200 million dollars.
? Led McKinsey consultancy engagement in North America and China to build sourcing infrastructure for auto parts to reduce cost. Company began to realize significant cost savings (planned at $ 3.4 million per annum) in late 2008 and into 2009 onward as a direct result of efforts.

? Identified opportunity in $ 50 million cycling category to sell premium brand SCHWINN bicycles which created market-share gains from independent bike dealers and increased sales by 10% and profitability by 144 bpts. Launch included use of front of company catalogue and TV commercials.
? Identified by Leadership to improve management of several leisure product categories. Through improved sourcing, negotiations, innovation, branding and marketing, grew sales and profits an average of high single digits per annum during this time.
