I am an editor and writer living in Vernon, located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in the Canadian province of British Columbia. I hold a Bachelor of Education degree (1987) from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters in Pastoral Studies (1999) from the Vancouver School of Theology. I am co-creator of and on the editorial team for Salt of the Earth: A Christian Seasons Calendar. I am also part of the team of writers for the Ekklesia Project’s lectionary bLOGOS.
I provide the following copy editing services:
Structural editing ensures that the structure of the content is well organized and the content is accurate and balanced.
Stylistic editing ensures that the meaning of the content is clear and flows smoothly. Note: structural and stylistic editing are more involved and time consuming, usually requiring suggestions for some re-writing.
Copy editing focuses on the mechanics of the written content: checking for the proper use of grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, etc.
Proofreading is the final stage of editing involving a very careful reading of the content for any form errors and ensuring that all previous corrections have been incorporated.
I specialize, but am not limited to, Christian theological editing.
