Jon Lederman has more than 30 years of Corporate, Employee, and Marketing Communications and Public Relations experience in the chemicals and petrochemicals industries. His background includes the chemical process, environmental, rubber, plastics, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, industrial gases, refining, and alternative energy segments. Jon’s expertise includes strategic program development, traditional and digital content creation, project management, and web architecture conceptualization. His experience also includes acquisition communications and brand management responsibilities for Fortune 1,000 companies.

Jon’s background includes times as Account Director for The SPI Group, a leading digital agency focused on delivering internet and intranet development and design services for clients in a range of industries. He was responsible for key client relationships, the management of web initiatives, and the development of internal communications programs for clients such as Merck and Covance.

Before joining The SPI Group, Jon was Head of Brand Management and Creative Services at The Linde Group, a USD $20 billion global industrial gases company. Located at the company’s North American headquarters in New Jersey, Jon directed Linde's internal and external brand change for the Industrial Gases, Healthcare and Respiratory Services businesses after its acquisition of BOC Gases in 2006. He was responsible for public relations and marketing communications in North America, and established a centralized Creative Services Department to enable closer scrutiny and strategic alignment between marketing communications content and the company’s business strategy. Jon also introduced Social Media into the company's communications mix.

Prior to joining The Linde Group, Jon was Head of Marketing Communications and Internal Communications at BOC Gases. In this role Jon had oversight responsibility for global marketing communications activities, and direct responsibility for marketing communications, press relations and internal communications in the United States. He led a global team in the development of a refreshed brand platform for BOC’s Process Industries business, and directed global brand research that served as the basis for the new brand positioning.

Before his tenure at BOC, Jon directed Business Communications at Engelhard Corporation (currently part of BASF). He was responsible for driving awareness for the company as a leader in environmental technologies, served as a volunteer Continuous Improvement trainer, and was instrumental in developing and managing the company’s Public Involvement Plan (PIP) related to an environmental issue at a facility in New England.
