I worked at the IRS for approximately 6 years answering customer’s questions regarding tax laws and accounts. I had to deal with difficult customers on a daily basis and became extremely proficient in handling these situations. I worked in collections and assisted clients in initiating payment plan, explaining why they owed money and how to avoid this problem in the future. Additionally, I made adjustments to accounts which included reviewing the original return, refiguring the amounts and determining the correct amount of tax. I worked as a paralegal on breast implant litigation representing the manufacturer, Bristol Meyers Squibb Inc. My duties included finding and reviewing financial, medical, work and any other personal records I could obtain for pertinent information. I complied the information in a chronological format and presented a complete history for over 50 plaintiffs to the assigned attorney. I was also responsible to distribute requested information for my cases to outside counsel. I worked independently and had to effectively manage my time to meet all deadlines.

I handled mainly plaintiff personal injury cases and some workers’ compensation complaints. I supervised over 30 people in corporate and criminal productions of documents for the U.S. Dept. of Justice, SEC, Federal Trade Commission and numerous Insurance companies. NME was defending itself against various criminal and medical malpractice allegations. I was responsible for initiating and maintaining a filing system for over 50 medical facilities and corporate headquarters. I was the main liaison for the dissemination of the information within the corporation and nationwide outside counsel. This included daily case management and cross country travel to retrieve, divide by subject and catalogue documents as the headquarters representative. The $379 million settlement is the largest in American history of this type.
US Navy & Navy Reserve Unit Supervisor Feb 1985 to Feb 2011
In my current Reserve unit I am the Leading Petty Officer. I am responsible for 28 people and report directly to my Executive Officer. As a Mineman in the Navy I assemble and disassemble underwater mines and have great attention to detail. I am required to perform 2 weeks active duty and one weekend a month to fulfill my Navy Reserve obligation.
