ROLE PURPOSE
Knowledge of and continually develop the David Lawrence quality, and support the team
in all aspects of QC and fit. In particular, support Designers to ensure the creative
direction is fit for purpose and supports the brand essence, as well as support the Supply
Chain team on all technical aspects of garment manufacturing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Have full understanding of the FOB development process from handover to
production
• Initiate size specifications for each development style
• Liaise with Designers to ensure accurate and detailed import packs are clearly marked
and understood enabling supplier to deliver accurate samples first time
• Access fabric and embellishment limitations and discuss any complicated technical
issues with Designer.
• Continually strive for a higher standard of sample, to ultimately achieve a fit
approved first time approach.
• Ensure there is no conflicting of information throughout the development process,
assisting the Shanghai Office at every stage to ensure smooth approval and improve
sample turnaround times
• Attend fit sessions and advice clear detailed comments, include sketches and photos
to emphasize problems and support comments.
• Measure development samples and review comments (if any) before fitting to ensure
all amendments have been auctioned from previous fit
• Know the DL critical path system and monitor sample progress
• Maintain an open line of communication at all times
