I have worked for the past seven (7) years for a Fortune 100 company as an administrative assistant in their legal department supporting four (4) attorneys. The area of law was extremely diverse between the attorneys I supported, which included employment law; environmental law; contracts; and pharmacy. I have also obtained a paralegal certificate approximately a year ago.
Prior to my position as an administrative assistant, I worked approximately ten (10) years from home doing transcription. I worked for a P.I. as a freelance transcriptionist. My duties included transcribing reports filed by the investigators; sub rosa invertiews and surveillance. This type of work mainly centered around workers' compensation claims and other insurance claims.
I have done a small amount of medical transcription in the past along with a short course in medical terminology. I have the ability to learn and progress quickly when faced with new experiences.
I am knowledgable with MicroSoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, Excel. I am familiar with Adobe and other various office software programs. I am able learn and adapt to any new computer programs that are vital to get the job done.
