CARRIE HOFFMAN (1099), Lowell, MI 06/13-Present
via PreciseScript Transcript LLC,
Working from my home office via 1099, I received weekly dictation from PreciseScript Transcription. All of my assignments were uploaded from ANP Transcription and consisted of legal hearings from either the New York Unemployment Insurance Appeals Court or the New York Division of Human Rights. The majority of the dictation assignments had a time range from a half hour to two to three hours or more. The turnaround completion time ranged from 24 to 48 hours to a week or more depending on the length of the assignment. Assignments ranged from 50 to 100 pages or more upon completion. Accuracy for each assignment was imperative. Prior to turning assignments in, I would review and re-listen to each dictation confirming and comparing the audio to the typed transcript. In addition to editing, reviewing and careful listening, I was also required to follow a set of guidelines and requests, received via ANP Transcription, that the court set-forth to follow for the completion of their transcripts.
