As Creative Partner in Camp MakeBelieve. The Project has won the National Parenting Center Seal of Approval.
As Creative Consultant to ABC-LOVE ONLINE, developed formats for the new site, including live auditoriums, live game shows, on-going advice area, relationship features/quizzes, humor, contests, hotline services, and publicity. The site, which began in December of ‘95, became the second most successful test site on ABC, measured by downloads and postings with demographics significantly weighted to teens and young adults. At the request of America Online, the advice column component provided to ABC, became a regular feature on its Entertainment Channel.
As Director of the Pre-Trial Services Institute, implemented criminal justice agency to initiate pre-trial services to Westchester County courts/ jail/ community through identifying defendants for release on recognizance and insuring court re-appearance through follow-up services. Scope: trained 75 staff to service 15,000 clients annually in 14 sites. Responsibilities included program design, PR w/government and the community, research/evaluation, budget. Successfully rolled the agency from federal to tax-levied dollars. At The NYC Correctional Institution for Women, as Director and Senior Program Specialist for the Department, created and directed new concept, Development Units, within the prison to ready inmates for work release/discharge, 90% with alcohol and addiction problems. Responsibilities included concept/program design, staff training, media relations, research/evaluation, budget. As Director of Work Release and Classification Director, designed program, trained staff, headed up media relations and developed business/political/community resources, monitored success. Clinical duties included punitive segregation area, disciplinary board, liaison between federal prisoners & federal authorities. Clinical: Clinical Director of “Bing”(punitive segregation area. Management: Drug and Rehab programs/counselors.
