From July of 2000 to July of 2007, Coastal Federal Bank grew from 8 branches to 24 branches including in store locations. By 2007, the bank had consistently maintained market share, was considered the # 1 Community Bank in the Carolinas as reported by US Banker, and voted as Best of the Beach by the readers of The Sun News.
