I am a homeschooling and private school-teaching mother of five with 48 years of life under my belt. I have a B.A. in French and Spanish, '88, from Bowdoin College, and an M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University, '90, in secondary school education with a specialization in French and Spanish.
I have taught high school French and Spanish, and elementary and junior high history and writing. I have tutored high schoolers and undergraduates in French, Spanish and study skills, and I have very strong paper-writing, editing and proofreading skills. Besides teaching, I also have experience working for a Palo Alto area non-profit, which involved newsletter editing and producing. I am also a long-time graphic-medium artist (I love to draw with different grades of graphite pencils: mostly animals, people and treed landscapes) and I considered early in college becoming an illustrator. I have been offered monetary compensation for drawings I have done. My great loves (besides my faith) are words, history, learning other languages (I also studied and taught Hebrew for a couple of years), art history and art.
