Creative Design Development
Work directly with OEM’s design teams to develop fabrics for automotive use.
CAD Development of flat woven, circular knit, and screen-printing designs.
Certified training on Mayer & Cie knitting machines
Work with Curator to build strong relationships with artists, and help in developing innovative ideas for gallery programming
Documentation and Presentations
Conceptualize, prepare fabric and benchmarking presentations to establish design and color direction
Maintain documentation for quality control (ISO and QS 9000) for the Design and Development Department
Manage fabric sample library, computer catalog of designs and artwork
Photography skills in documenting personal artwork and students work
Given several presentations on the development and use of CAD in the Textile Industry as a design tool
Developed presentations with Power Point
Install and de-install exhibitions and maintain a high quality exhibition space in non-profit gallery
Artistic Development and Instruction
Developed projects based on specific skills of each age group while expanding the student’s art language, material knowledge and understanding of art.
Outline class objective and description for parents and students while maintaining the overall mission of organizations.
Outline lesson plans, give demonstrations, and lead discussions on each project.
Administrative and Management
Work closely with Research and Development in yarn and manufacturing technology development to achieve unique designs with high profitability.
Set parameters for package and solution dyed yarn products and manage quality control of supplied product.
Established a CAD department; recruited, hired and trained new CAD designers.
The introduced and maintained CAD to a company to produce more colorways less expensively and quicker
Track sample production from design and preparation of CAD files through knitting/weaving and finishing process, including preparation of samples cards for testing and marketing.
Manage order of yarns and evaluate suppliers to determine capabilities and limitations.
Provided written and verbal communications between product development, manufacturing and Designers in development of fabric.
