Design a wide assortment of print materials for financial reps, government contractors and for other professionals as well as personal clients. Coach Financial Reps to grow their in-store sales through marketing strategies. Design marketing materials to support various business campaign/programs. Design work utilizing CS5 to create email blasts, logos, Power Point presentations, stationary, business cards, web banners, brochures, flyers, posters, invites, signage, etc. Handle numerous clients and projects in a professional and timely manner. Take care of all printing and shipping needs for all designed materials required.

Haynes Furniture Corporate
March 2009-March 2010 – Assistant Art Director - Advertising Department. Responsible for proposal of all marketing and advertising strategies; including print, video and web ideas to expand sales for all Haynes Furniture stores inclusive of The Dump stores. Partner with the Art Director to develop marketing strategies, leading to increased sales and market dominance of the targeted niche. Design all marketing materials, signage for ongoing projects. Set personal and departmental goals increasing maximum productivity within the Advertising Department. Lead the development of all graphic materials in support of store Grand Openings.

Impak Marketing
September 2007-December 2008 – Design ads for Reach Magazine. Execute website layout for Netsearch web clients. Propose marketing ideas and the supporting materials. Expand graphic capabilities to take on wider range of marketing materials. Impak Graphics is the Creative department for Impak Marketing which umbrellas Reach Magazine, Valpak and Netsearch Direct. Software utilized included InDesign CS3, Photoshop and Illustrator, periodically Flash.

Circuit City Corporate
November 2004-June 2, 2007 - Designer for Circuit City’s Store Environment’s Department. Responsible for branding of all Circuit City stores nationwide. Produce signs, fixture solutions, vendor P.O.P., brochures, banners, logos and a variety of other printed materials. Prepare all creative for printer. Assist in the creation of merchandising standards used by Store Planning and field. Responsibilities include; increasing store compliance and execution of merchandising standards. Identified potential opportunities to ease store operating model, increase execution, and drive sales growth.

Techead/VCU Creative Services
August 2003-November 2004 - Graphic Designer working in Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop. Design a variety of printed pieces including, text heavy and production work. Projects include, annual reports, brochures, invites, postcards, forms, worksheets, posters, creative art for web pages, booklets, branding solutions and branding standards.

Richmond History Center (Valentine Museum)
January 2003-June 2003 - VCU Internship responsible for graphic design work for the Department of Education using computer skills in QuarkXPress, Illustrator and Photoshop. Work consisted of designing reusable page layouts, then incorporating additional new information into those designs. The goal was to establish a consistent, functional, overall layout for the museum to use for promotional purposes. Also, press experience with folder design.

Virginia Council of Economic Education
September 2002-December 2002 - Design of a three panel, two color brochure for a VCU program called Design Center. A program invited the top ten students by means of a judged portfolio review. ?Engage with a client from a non-profit organization to execute their project from design concept to the final printing.

Barber Martin Advertising
June 2002-September 2002 - In-house graphic designer/intern for fast pace, multiple project work. Work both independently and as a team to design logos, brochures, mailer cards, and billboards, using QuarkXPress, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Clients include Virginia Lottery, Southern States, Friedman Jewelers, Patient First, Adolf Jewelers, Dominion Auto, BizLinc and more. Tasks include ?resizing advertisements and changes to existing advertisements, creative pages for web, CD burning, collecting jobs for output and scanning.

January 1993-March 1997 - Self employed, self promoted, hands on experience with client interaction, quoting jobs, painting murals, designing flyers, meeting deadlines and budget expectations.
