I am Liz Bankowski, a professional photographer with over 9 years of working experience in the fields of digital photography, specifically dance, portrait, and commercial and event photography.
I have finished the Oakland Community College Photographic Technology program through Royal Oak which has given me a solid base in the fine art of photography including digital photographic techniques as well as Film processing and printing, and alternative processes including cyanotype photograms.
From 2005-2010 I worked at an action photographer for City Style Productions shooting national dance competitions and gymnastic events.
Starting in 2011 and currently I work for Hall of Fame Dance Challenge as their top dance photographer. This job is seasonal and requires me to travel nationwide for weekend events and shoot for up to 40 hour weekends and produce top quality action shots.
From 2011-2014 I photograph Dance House Studio's dance portraits.
In the past I have done freelance photography jobs for products, specifically stage lighting and dance clothing. I am always accepting freelance photography jobs and produce high quality digital images using my Nikon D800. I work on location, with a portable studio set up if needed. I also work out of home using a small studio.
I own a small photography business in Metro Detroit that offers event and portrait photography. I have done many weddings, and modern styled portraiture. I am very in tune with my creativity and love working with children and families to catch perfect moments that show my clients unique personalities.
