Stacy McDermott, a former newspaper reporter, holds a Ph.D. in American History from the University of Illinois. The author/editor of two books and dozens of articles, she is currently an editor at the Papers of Abraham Lincoln (a research/editing project of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum). In that position, she transcribes and edits historical documents, writes scholarly articles, prepares various reports, and writes and edits a quarterly newsletter. McDermott’s writing/editing skills are excellent and diverse.
