Ltd. , Verna Goa Key Role Designing LT PCC, MCC, APFC, MLDB, VDB, DB Cubicle panels and Bus ducts (sheet metal work) using AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk Inventor 3D for Schneider Electric.. Designing busbars for for Bus ducts. Coordinating efforts with the Senior Engineer working with part design, preparing drawing release, and bill of materials for all new/revised parts for fabrication. Receiving general arrangement and single line diagrams from Schneider Electric and preparing BOM required for the entire CSS Assembly carried out at our end. Coordinating with materials managements and procurement to ensure all standards are met within deadline. Communicating design changes with production engineer, fabrication, procurement and various other personnel as needed.
March 2013 to June 2013 Junior Design Engineer: Shri. Shantha Pumps, Velim Goa Key Role Designing various components of Centrifugal, Self Priming, Shallow Well and Open Well (submersible) pumps of different rating varying between 0.5 Hp to 5 Hp for domestic and agricultural purposes. Designing body, shaft, keys, bushes for the motor and assist in designing laminations for rotor and stator. Performing design calculations of Volute and Impeller for different ratings of pumps considering the output required. Modifying design of existing components for weight reduction. Deciding on the size of bearings to be used in the motor. Preparing costing sheet during development of new product. Reverse Engineering Shallow Well and Open Well pumps that had been discontinued. 3D modeling of all pumps components to using SolidWorks to help reduce weight. Preparing 3D assemblies to check for interferences in assembly.
November 2011 to February 2013 Junior Design Engineer: Dynamic Technofabs, Verna Goa Key Role Designing Low Voltage (LV) Compartment (sheet metal work) using AutoCAD for Siemens Compact Substation (CSS) and efficiently placing the Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB) and Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB) in the available space and managing and providing space for busbar connections and other wired connections. Leading entire CSS design (sheet metal) using Solidworks including LV chamber, Transformer Compartment as well as RMU design for our own make of CSS (Dynamic Technofabs) designed and assembled entirely at our end. Worked on standardizing the LV design which led to increased productivity and kept the company on track to achieve its target of 300 CSS for the year. Designing busbars for connecting the transformer to the ACBs and other busbar connections. Coordinating efforts with the Senior Engineer working with part design, preparing drawing release, and bill of materials for all new/revised parts for fabrication. Receiving single line diagram from Siemens and preparing BOM required for the entire CSS Assembly carried out at our end. Coordinating with materials managements and procurement to ensure all standards are met within deadline. Served as a department liaison coordinating projects and communicating design changes with production engineer, fabrication, procurement and various other personnel as needed.
