My lifelong passion for the arts has led me to major in theater at Alfred University. I wish to pursue a career in the arts and this job opportunity feels like the perfect stepping-stone on that path. I love to create art with my hands and I can see myself flourishing in an illustration environment.
I have loved fine arts my whole life. My knowledge in the field grew with every piece I completed. I was the recipient of the first place award for photography in a national art contest in 2005. I was asked to design stationery for my high school in 2006 depicting a barn, a landmark of the campus. In 2009 I was asked to create the cover for a program of a symphony concert honoring composer, Antonio Vivaldi. These experiences have motivated me to pursue a living as an illustrator.
Through working in freelance illustration, I wish to strengthen my visual skills as an artist, which I will use to propel myself into a career in the arts.
