Senior Print Account Executive March 2011 – Current

Commercial Print
Responsible for all collateral print production for Guthy-Renker and Guthy-Renker II in-kit materials. Strategic partnerships with Purchasing, Planning and Marketing to ensure optimal and cost-efficient purchases. Implemented systems to ensure clear and open communication between Purchasing, Planning, Marketing and Williams Lea. Main interface and liaison with Marketing: Retention, Catalog, International and Canada. Main interface between client and Account Director as it relates to any and all contractual issues and SOPs. Senior team member responsible for SOPs with print partners and client partners. Provide reporting for cost analysis, benchmarking, expected receipts, invoice approvals and all invoice disputes. Ensured client awareness of new industry trends and cost-saving opportunities.

Collateral Print: (Current Print Purchase Buy = $2 million)
• All project estimating with the core and specialty vendors

Oversee two print coordinators and one print buyer; purchased all print and non-print materials inclusive of merchandise, packaging, promotional and vehicle applications; all vendor relationships and qualifying new vendors based on quality, price and schedules. Reviewed all print specifications, estimates, and art request forms to ensure that production guidelines were met. Reviewed all proofs and attended press checks for quality assurance and consistency of color and design expectation.

Implemented the following successful tools for the team:
• Work order system by which vendors could confirm the details of a particular job, inclusive of the purchase order, pricing and shipping information
• Part number system by which all materials could be tracked for reprints, as well as a mechanism for fulfillment requirements
• Created a database by which all jobs were logged and tracked by the work order data

>Print savings to the company: $150K savings on stationary by changing paper, ink coverage and bindery specifications for the year. $575K savings on EarthLink’s welcome kit components and postage by working with the creative team to creative a more cost-effective, and yet branded consumer package. $600K savings in the first 6 months of purchasing the company’s software packaging by purchasing paper in bulk and creating template formats by which to imprint when needed.
