Mark Johnson is a composer, conductor and orchestrator specializing in the creation of orchestral music for film soundtracks and performing orchestras. His style blends together elements of symphonic, neo-romantic, jazz, rock, alternative, gospel, and pop styles.
Since 1996, Johnson has actively been involved in the creation and performance of music for youth and adult orchestras and the faith-based community. He is the conductor of the 50-member Cool Springs Youth Orchestra and the Cool Springs Symphony in Franklin, TN. Recent works include music used on the Walt Disney film Hannah Montana – The Movie (April 2009 release), the soundtrack for The Samaritan.
This spring, Mark has completed Computer Generated temp tracks for Last Ounce of Courage and will conduct the live orchestra recordings in the summer of 2011 in Nashville. On Sept. 18, his programming work was premiered by Emmy award winner Janet Ivey for her science road show.
