I am an experienced writer in several areas. I have reported for student newspapers. I have also written speeches and designed mail pieces for political campaigns. I am seasoned at conducting interviews and excellent at meeting deadlines.
I have taken classes in Creative Writing as well as Journalism. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Political Science. I was listed on the Dean's list while in college. I was also able to take several honors classes at The University of Missouri-Columbia. While at The University of Missouri I was a frequently published reporter in the MU Student News, a weekly student newspaper. On average I published three articles per issue.
When I transferred to the University of North Texas I help to institute the Student Readership Program. This program is designed to give free local and national newspapers such as the New York Times and USA Today to students at the university. I consider this to be one of my greatest achievements.
While in high school I was invited to attend the Presidential Classroom, a one week event for future world leaders. While at this conference I was able to learn about the inner workings of Washington D.C. and politics in general. I am also a member of the National Honors Society.
