ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT [ERM]: Hurricane, WV June 2011 - May 2012
Deliver sustainable engineering solutions to clients across a broad range of industry sectors, and environmental compliance needs. Including Phase I and Phase II Impact Assessments, Spill Prevention Control Countermeasure Plans [SPCC], Groundwater Protection Plans [GPP], Air Permits, Remediation Activity Management, and Audits.
EXAMPLES OF PROJECTS:
COAL PREPARATION PLANT EMISSIONS ASSESSMENT: Conducted a facility-wide emissions assessment for a client whose facility emission total was just above Major Source Thresholds [MST] to determine if becoming a Synthetic Minor Source would be a viable option. Calculated multiple PTE scenarios with voluntary throughput limitations set on various emission units
OIL AND GAS COMPANY SUBPART W PREPARATION: Developed spreadsheet annotating all applicable units to Subpart W and calculating CO2 equivalencies.
ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATORY SERVICE GROUP: Dunbar, WV 2008 - 2011
Prepare Air Regulatory Reports requiring knowledge of air emissions calculations, facility operating data, and air permitting requirements. Examples include: Permit Applications, Air Emission Inventories, Title V Fee Calculations, and Stack Test Reports. Perform field work in the following disciplines: Stack Testing, Opacity Testing, Compliance Inspections, Storm-water Runoff Sampling, and Wet Gas Sampling.
EXAMPLES OF PROJECTS:
RULE 13 PERMITTING: Developed a unique permit application for a client hoping to add a crusher, extruder, and pelletizer, to their process with the intention of recycling refuse and converting it to production input. Estimated increase in facility emissions based on the addition of the new equipment, and designed a facility process flow diagram.
STACK TEST VALIDATION: Spearheaded efforts to substantiate stack test results on behalf of a client to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA-DEP). Re-analyzed original test results in order to pinpoint any discrepancies within the data. Lead negotiations between client and the PA-DEP to authenticate revised test results and absolve clients status in the eyes of the enforcement agency.
