About Wendy McMenamin
Hello,
I'm a Born again, Spirit filled Believer in the Messiah Yeshua who loves to laugh, sing, and dance, as well as, write and recite poetry.
I enjoy anything creative. I've been married to my husband Tom for twenty six years, and have two grown, and married step-children, and four step-grand children. I grew up in Pennsauken, NJ, I graduated from Pennsauken High School, in 1977, and then enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at Lyons Technical Institute in Cherry Hill , NJ, next I attended Vocational Technical School in Berlin, NJ, through which I was certified in Dental Radiation. Changing direction, I then enrolled at Community College of Philadelphia, where I sharpened my skill in ASL (American Sign Language). I held Assistant teacher/Teacher positions in four different Daycare centers in a span of about twenty years. wanting to further explore my creative expression, and sensing being led by the Holy Spirit, I enrolled, attended, and graduated from Anthem Institute. I have participated in various choirs, dance, drama, and other creative workshops. And still active in Camden County's Poetry in the Park. Through which I became a Published Poet in a contest for best love poem on 2/14/11.

Assisted other Teachers in the morning with their classroom curriculum, and outdoor activities. Supervised children during play, lunch, first half of nap, and snack times. During second half of nap, the four year olds, and some really well behaved older three year olds, would come down stairs with me, as I led them in early afternoon activities such as teaching them ASL, using songs and games,as well as craft projects. One of the students greatly benefited from this as he was having difficulty in recognizing the alphabet in sequence. About a month after being in my Sign Language sessions, I was informed by the head teacher, that his mother took him back to his therapist, and he improved in his cognitive one on one letter recognition.I designed monthly themes for classroom bulletin boards.
