I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and I was raised most of my life in Douglasville, Georgia. I had one of the great opportunities to have a Grandfather, a Mother and an older Brother that had the ability to draw and draw well. I remember going through my mothers sketches and wanting to draw just like her. With my Mothers love, kindness and enthusiasm for art it made it easier for me to pursue this journey as an Illustrator.
Since I was a little girl, I was always fascinated with children’s books. The bright colors and the great imagination from the illustrators as well as the writers. It was a joy to have my parents read to me everyday so I can dream about those images and travel through their imagination. My parents have always taught me that, “If you have IMAGINATION, you can do anything you want!”
I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia. I received a Bachelors Degree for Illustration. The journey at SCAD-Atlanta was exciting and sometimes very tiring, but at the end of the day all the great and hard work gave me joy to my heart. My dreams and goals is to be able to create wonderful characters and bring them to life. And for kids and parents to appreciate them as much as I do. I love creating illustrations for kids, they have such a huge imagination and they never know the word..”I can’t!”
I hope that my illustrations can bring kids and parents together as ONE!
