Presently: I am working as a sports writer for The Pioneer in Big Rapids, The Grand Rapids Advance Newspapers and Mid Michigan Sports Scene magazine. I am also writing for two of The Pioneer's weekly newspapers. I was also the Michigan sports writer for All Headline News, a worldwide news service. I have also written for The Spartan Magazine, covering Michigan State hockey, and also for Michigan Hockey and Michigan Lacrosse magazines. I currently am a senior writer For RANT Sports, a national blogging site.

November 1995 — December 2009: I was sports editor for The Greenville Daily
News, an 8,000-circulation daily in Greenville, Mich., near Grand Rapids. We covered eight high schools on a daily basis. I generally wrote an average of three to four stories per day and paginated anywhere from one to three pages each issue, six days a week. For the past several months, I took and scanned most of the sports photos.

January 1980 — October 1995: I worked with The Pioneer in Big Rapids, a 5,000-circulation
daily, first as a writer, and 15 years as sports editor. We covered sports
at 11 high schools and Ferris State University, an NCAA Division II college.

September 1976 — December 1979: I was sports editor and later editor of The
L’Anse Sentinel, the largest weekly paper in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
We had four to five sports pages per week covering high school sports. I wrote six to eight news stories and four to six sports stories per week.
