I have been a graphic designer for nearly a decade. Graduating with a B.A. from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, I have gone on to produce work for many media outlets. I have created advertisements, logos, and graphics for The American Journal publications, as well as Family Circle Magazine and Rutgers University. I was an assistant art director for Federated's Popular Club fashion catalog before moving onto hold a post as Senior Production Manager and Designer at Scholastic Media. While I managed the design and production of Scholastic's monthly Click! which receives over 120 million impressions a year, I also designed Scholastic's electronic toy packaging, promotional materials, and emails. I have taken many continuing education classes from the School of Visual Arts in New York City which has contributed to my success as a contracted designer for logos, business cards, and advertisements.
After working in New York City for over 7 years, I decided to move back to Maine in search of more green space and a less hectic lifestyle. In my free time, I channel my inspirations by making things I am truly passionate about like fruit pies, chandelier earrings, and screen printed T-shirts. It has been refreshing to break away from limitations of creating art strictly on a computer; however, I have recently found myself missing the process, execution, and presentation that visual communications encompass. I hope to reunite with the design community on a freelance, part-time, or full time basis.
