Dissertation title: “Argostoli and Lixuri: power and resistance or rather the inverse? Exploring the role of the State and resistance in local culture on the Greek island of Cefalonia”. Dissertation supervisor: Dr. Yael Navaro- Yashin.
1992-1996: University of Athens, Greece, BA in classical literature.
2012 : Research conducted among students of TEI of Ionian Islands( March- April 2012), in co-operation with dr. S. Makridis at the department of public relations and communication .Research ran in three focus groups. Research topic: communication channels, student satisfaction and the department of public relations and communication.
2004-2005: 15 months of research for the purposes of the ph.d thesis. Research was conducted on the Greek island of Cefalonia. Topics included performance, evaluation, audience, satire and laughter.
1998: 6 weeks of research on the Greek island of Cefalonia for the purposes of the Master’s dissertation. Topics included power, resistance and the State.
1995-1996: 3 months(approximately) of collection of folklore material for the purposes of voluntary project on folklore studies. Research was conducted in a village on the Greek island of Cefalonia

1999-2000 Centre for Adult Lifelong learning , Argostoli, Cefalonia, Greece- adult tutor.
(This is a centre which provides educational and skills development programmes for a diverse range of adults, university graduates and people with emotional and special needs issues. Programmes are funded by the European Union and the Greek government).
• Taught parts of courses for adults.
• Courses included Cefalonian history, culture, management of cultural heritage and museum studies.
• Worked with small groups of adults of different ages, gender and backgrounds.
• Developed materials which took into account the specific needs of the students.
• Managed to keep students engaged by using teaching methods and materials which maintained their interest.
1999 Centre for Adult Lifelong learning , Argostoli, Cefalonia, Greece- tutor to the special program “Rota” funded by the local municipality for a successful integration to local community of people with special needs.

2010: Royal Anthropological Institute- Photo Contest “The Meaning of Water”. 1999: first prize for the collection of folklore material. Prize was awarded from the Academy of Athens
2007: Contribution to the pre-fieldwork workshop[training for pre-fieldwork students of anthropology] as a facilitator. Island of Raasay, Scotland, April 16th-April 20th.The program was funded by S.T.A.R.
2006: Contribution to the “sound and anthropology” conference. The material contributed was recorded during my research on the island of Cefalonia [2004-2005].
1999 Contribution to the construction of a local website in Argostoli. The website was built at the “Mentor” educational centre (www.ionion.com)..The material that I contributed originated from my MSc dissertation.
1995-1997 Collection of folklore material :the project was undertaken during my 3rd and 4th year of undergraduate studies at the University of Athens , Greece.
