In two separate jobs at ASM, I copy edited and proofread the society’s scientific journals. In the earlier job, I also copy edited, proofread, laid out, and managed production of a four-color monthly magazine, ASM News (circulation, 40,000). I managed communication among in-house and outside contributors, the advertising representatives, and the printer; answered all
inquiries about the magazine; maintained the photo morgue; wrote short items; and produced the advertising dummy.

Television; Journal of Arts Management, Law, and Society; The Explicator).

My articles and reviews have appeared in the Washington Post, the Washington City Paper, Dirty Linen, the Baltimore City Paper, Harp, Paste, Pontiac Performance, Rambles, Greenman Review, Relix, and the Washington Review.

I researched and wrote No Thought of Leaving: A Life of Sandy Denny (out of print):.

I wrote entries for Music Hound Folk: The Essential Album Guide and Music Hound World: The Essential Album Guide.

I wrote liner notes for What We Did on Our Holidays by Fairport Convention (Water Records reissue) and Gold Dust: The Final Concert by Sandy Denny (Island).

My poems have been published in the Gettysburg Review, Gargoyle, Beltway Poetry, JMWW, and the anthology Takoma Park Writers 1981, among other publications.

with high honors in English (my thesis was a collection of poems).

I am pursuing a master's of fine arts (poetry) degree at the Vermont College of Fine Arts (a low-residency program).
