Elizabeth (Beth) Rockett has published nonfiction articles (Better Homes & Gardens) and poems since the 90s. In 2005 she turned to screenwriting and has written one short and three screenplays. One script reached top 8% in Nicholl Screenwriting contest in 2009, Round 2 of The Page International Contest in 2011. Another script was a quarterfinalist in The Page in 2011. She is a script reader for The Big Bear Film Festival, CA and also reads for The Scriptwriter’s Network HOP Program.
She’s attended various workshops: David Freeman, Sherwood Oaks Experimental College, Screenwriting Expo, Andy Horton, Wendell Thomas, and Glenn Benest’s writing group since 9/07. She’s writing a nonfiction book, Blame it on the Salsa (book proposal completed). She’s been a music manager/promoter bringing an unknown group to Top Ten on Latin Charts, and worked in the legal field for 22 years, holding a NY, CA and a national NCRA RPR court reporter’s certification.
