David Dolittle has a penchant for painting and a love of animals. He received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, pursuing studies in both illustration and painting. He has completed projects for the Roger Williams Park Zoo and the Harvard Museum of Natural History, as well as for publishing assignments, including several children's books. His work has been exhibited at the National Science Foundation in Washington D.C., the Gelman Gallery in Providence, Rhode Island, and Gouche Gallery in Tokyo, Japan, among others. He was also an artist in residence at the Harvard Forest in Petersham, MA. Relocating to the West Coast, he now lives and works in San Francisco as an illustrator/artist, who's favorite thing to draw is still animals.
