Editing/Developmental Editing/Proofreading. Career encompasses more than 30 years of editing and proofreading life sciences, forensics, statistics, computer science, higher-level mathematics, engineering, medical, pharmaceutical, and social science books. Areas of expertise include entomology, botany, marine science, and German literature. Particular strengths include reviewing, editing, and rewriting technical material written by non-native English speakers; developmental editing; fact checking; and ensuring consistency in text and reference formatting.

Managed up to 80 academic books per year, up to 20,000 pages at a time, ensuring that books were produced in a timely and cost-effective manner, on extremely short production schedules. Author of 150 original narrative, informational, and functional passages for elementary and secondary reading and listening comprehension tests (grade 3 through college levels) and related questions for the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT); State of Texas (TAAS) reading assessment test; Virginia, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania state reading assessment tests; and the Allied Health Achievement Test (AHAT).

Legal Deposition Summarizing. Summarized depositions and proofread legal documents for personal injury law firm specializing in elevator accidents and major airline disasters.

Translation/Foreign Language Skills. Read, write, and speak fluent German and Danish. Reading knowledge of French. Trained by the National Security Agency (NSA) as a Hungarian language translator.
