Freelance Artist - 1979 to present
Illustrator, graphic artist, portraitist, computer game artist, scientific and historical illustrator, multi-media and fine artist. Created magazine covers, advertisements, and interior art for several national magazines. Won numerous awards at science fiction conventions in the Southeast and East Coast, including several First Place, Best of Show, People's Choice, Most Humorous, and the Polly Freas' Artist's Award.
Illustrator/Exhibits Preparator - Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium, Kingsport, TN, April, 1978-August, 1989.
Created two- and three-dimensional exhibits, illustrations, and educational displays for municipal nature center and planetarium. Conducted planetarium and multi-media shows and led question and answer sessions with school groups.

Research Assistant - Southeastern Institute of Research, Richmond, VA, June-November, 1998. Performed phone surveys and research.
Cultural Arts Assistant - Henrico County Recreation and Parks, Richmond, VA, September, 1991-May, 1995. Assisted in productions of Henrico Theatre Company, Henrico Teen Theatre, Henrico Community Band, and other Henrico sponsored Cultural Arts groups and events. Produced publicity posters and programs, promotional materials, created and maintained data bases of patrons and participants, worked box office. Was responsible for recruiting and hiring paid production staff for theatrical presentations. Often was responsible for opening and closing county buildings, operating county vehicles, assisting in production of sets, set painting, prop construction, or any phase of production from planning to teardown. Acted as liaison between county and directors, instructors, and participants, procuring materiel and providing or arranging assistance as needed. Was responsible for processing entries in Henrico's Annual One-Act Playwriting Competition.
Art Accountability Technician - Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, VA, April-August, 1991. As part of security force/conservancy team, continually assessed and monitored collections for preservation and maintenance problems, recorded condition of art and reported issues to conservation department.
