I have a unique background blending lots of science coursework (and interests), with education and experience in business communication and instructional design. With a BS in Psych and a Masters in Communication Management, I spent my early years at a consulting firm where our motto was “If they don’t have the talent or time, they hire us.” I’ve had clients from Prodigy to Sears to Citibank to Kimberly Clark. And the services I provided ran the gamut: on-line training course development to packaging; advertising copy to technical writing. What the clients wanted they got – exceptionally written and done quickly. I enjoyed nearly ten years of fast-paced external consulting and in-house communication.
Since I left corporate America and hung out my own shingle, I’ve been a strong consulting and writing presence in my local community -- and well beyond. I’ve written grants, newsletters, press releases, blogs, video scripts -- even children's books. More importantly, I've helped clients assess and define their communication needs -- then executed on those plans.
I've evolved with the times to become web & social media savvy. I understand the concept of SEO (and how NOT to do it!), and am expert at making the most of the three seconds you have to grab your reader's interest. If you prefer, I'll tailor an in-house program that specifically addresses your needs.
I’m creative, fast, consistent, and adaptable. And of course I'm the consummate professional who relies on delivering outstanding work that garners repeat business. Typically a one-time project turns into an ongoing relationship where I'm the "go-to" for all communication needs.
