As a freelance translator, I have worked with non-profit organizations such as CIDENIC (Consultora para el Desarrollo de Nicaragua), SWISS AID, and the Drachen Foundation in Seattle. With the latter, I completed the English to Spanish translation for a book to be published in 2013. Furthermore, I have held jobs as a Bilingual Legal Assistant for an immigration firm in Seattle, WA, and as a Bilingual Service Specialist II with the WA State Department of Labor and Industries. Both positions required excellent verbal and written communication with clients of different backgrounds and dialects, and the translation of various types of documents from Spanish to English and vice versa.
I am a native Spanish speaker, raised biculturally between Seattle, WA, and Granada, Nicaragua. I hold a BA in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Washington in Tacoma. I enjoy working directly with clients looking to communicate a message across to the Spanish-, or English-speaking world, and look forward to helping you achieve that goal.
