Profile and Objective
I am originally from Virginia in the United States, and my academic background is in the liberal arts. After graduating from college in 2002, I moved to Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, and began a career as an English as foreign language (EFL) teacher and school administrator. After achieving Japanese language ability, I began translation in Japanese to English, first on a part-time basis, and then as a full-time freelancer in April, 2011.
I am seeking work with agencies and firms that will allow me to use my prior experiences in translation, transcription, and editing; and gain new experiences as well. As an employee or registered freelancer, I can offer high-quality translation as well as punctuality and a conscientious work ethic.
