I bring 20 years of experience as an educator and journalist to any position. I take seriously the needs of any client and will work diligently to fulfill all assignments. As a former newspaper reporter, I worked with very tight deadlines and have the skills to produce excellent copy.

My work experience includes:
2004 to 2006: Book anthology editor for Greenhaven Press Social Issues Firsthand series. Titles include Environment and Prisons.
1998-2010 Educator; emergent literacy program developer; school librarian at high, middle, and elementary schools.
1990 to 1997: Newspaper and news radio journalist
My education background and degrees include: Masters of Library and Information and Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of South Carolina.
Additional training in emergent literacy programming and as an evaluator of preschool and early education programs utilizing The Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale-Revised (ECERS) and The Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale-Revised (ITERS).
