Through my Photography I have developed my critical and creative thinking skills. In 2008 I embarked on a photographic expedition into the Gautrain tunnels. There I succeeded in creating a series of photographs that are unique in their temporal and physical contexts. Through the photographs that I have taken I have learned a lot about the art of being a documentary photographer as well as a critical observer. Attaining a number of firsts in my final year of undergraduate study I proved that I had attained both technical and conceptual mastery of the medium.
I have strengthened my people skills in my working interaction with a wide variety of people, especially foreign tourists and visiting academics. I have also proved myself to be trustworthy by delivering people including young children to their destinations safely.
As a contemplative individual I always consider the society in which we live attempt to see things from different people’s perspectives. I am sensitive to other’s needs. I am a very sociable person who enjoys teamwork and collaboration. I value honesty and reliability and try very hard to live up to these ideals myself. I enjoy the opportunity to be creative in a variety of ways for example through artistic expression. While having a strong conceptual basis I am also interested in commercial branding and character design.
I aspire to acquire substantial experience in the animation, design industry which will ultimately allow me to run my own animation/ design company.
I enjoy reading and research as well as physical activity with a particular passion for martial arts.
