Technical Writer III – January 2011 to present. Landis+Gyr

• Work closely with software and hardware development engineers to produce and maintain complete, accurate technical documentation using Adobe Structured FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite for PC platforms (both independently or within a team environment)
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
• Create urgent, day-to-day alert and bulletin documentation as necessary for timely release and publication to address emergent problems

• Relieve Engineering staff of repetitive administrative duties to include: Updating bills of materials; preparing & tracking item master request forms; monitoring & tracking purchase orders, assisting with expense reports & travel arrangements; clean-up/formatting of Engineering presentations & reports; ordering parts; burning CDs/DVDs for archiving.

• Coordinate the support aspects of the Network Operations team to maintain an efficient organization of all regions (14 states)
• Coordinate purchasing and tracking of materials and services to support the maintenance of the entire network

• Responsible for ordering, tracking and receiving parts using the Lawson system.
• Assist with the coordination of purchase orders, invoices and forms with purchasing and outside vendors.
• Work with all regions to develop synergies, groom processes and create efficiencies.
• Code invoices, expense reports and other expense items as needed. Route documents to appropriate manager for signatures.
• Compile reports drawing information from a variety of sources such as existing documentation, ledgers, supply orders, purchases, etc.

Midwest Administrative Assistant for MW Region Vice President – February 2002 to June 2004, Rural Cellular Corporation.

• Provided support service functions including word processing, specialized forms and excel spreadsheets to assist in tracking and management of the Midwest Region Department budgets, invoice reconciliation, accruals and forecasts.
• Responsible for scheduling meetings, meeting notes, memos and organizational support for the Midwest Region Vice President and department managers. Acted as a liaison for the MW Region internal and external customers.
• Responsible for ordering and receiving parts using the Lawson system. Created and maintained various trackers. Analyze data from trackers in order to streamline MW Network Operations processes.
• Coordinate repair and returns for the Network Operations team. This function included tracking warranty repairs, communicating with vendors regarding RMA numbers, creating requisitions, tracking return processes and filing insurance claims as necessary.
• Responsible for organizing and distributing reports, letters and financial statements to appropriate internal and external customers. Maintains confidential and sensitive files and correspondences.

Graphic Designer/Copy Writer – 1998-2001, International Association Managers, Alexandria, MN

• Responsible for all graphic design, pre-press production and marketing pieces for an association management group. Duties included producing monthly newspaper type publications for the different association groups and website creation and maintenance. Also all point of sale, brochures, wine labels and all other print needs for Carlos Creek Winery, another company they owned.
