PROFILE
My name is Matt Ellsworth, and I am an Emmy nominated video editor and motion graphics designer with a diverse background of various work environments. I have had the opportunity to work on a wide array of projects anywhere from local TV stations and post production houses to national clients and ad agencies such as: Leo Burnett, Comcast, GolfTV, First Financial Merchant Services, and FPX. Using my skills as a video editor and motion graphic designer, I have created everything from commercials and promotional web videos to music videos and short films.
I currently run my own freelance motion graphics and video editing business titled Ellsworth Dynamic, where I work directly with numerous clientele to produce and edit only the best videos, and create the most creative and innovative motion graphic designs -- as well as storyboarding, on-site video production, editing, compression, sound editing, special visual effects, rotoscoping, and compositing.
I’ve lead numerous projects and executed clients’ needs on a variety of video and motion graphic design projects, taking extra care to carefully follow the clients’ creative and aesthetic suggestions while also providing my own, thereby creating a true creative, collaborative effort.
Using state of the art equipment and several years of experience, I have also provided clients with on-site video production for corporate meetings, testimonials video shoots, and training videos.
Early in my career, a colleague and I created a short film and entered it into a natiion-wide film contest. Our film came in first place which resulted in a trip to Hollywood, CA and VIP tickets to the 1998 Golden Globe Awards.
Later in my career, in 2002, I created a television spot for Comcast which was then nominated for an Emmy. While I was involved in every step of the process with this spot, it was my motion graphic design efforts which resulted in the Emmy nomination.
I am highly proficient with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Final Cut, and Cinema 4D. No matter the scale of the project, I am armed with the experience and skills you need to achieve the best creative solutions for your video needs.

After relocating to the Twin Cities, I rebranded my freelancing career and changed my moniker to "Ellsworth Dynamic." Running my own freelance post-production service, I have offered my skills as a video editor and motion graphic designer to several national clients (FPX, First Financial Merchant Services) to create anything from corporate marketing videos for the web to informational training videos for large groups. While my services mainly consist of video editing (onsite and offsite) and motion graphic design to create marketing and promotional videos, my services extend to onsite locations as I also offer video production for live corporate events and video shoots.

CHICAGO, IL — 2002 - 2004
Running my own freelance post-production service under the moniker "Casinopants Post," I brought my post production skills to several post production houses in the city of Chicago (Superior Street, Whateverwerks, and Mixed Media), as well as advertising agencies (Leo Burnett) and national clients (GolfTV). CHICAGO, IL — 2000 - 2002
I was a member of the creative services post production team primarily responsible for producing television spots and opening credit sequences for the Comcast Network -- a television network that spanned across the greater Chicagoland area. As a member of this creative team, my responsibilities spanned from preproduction to post production: from conceptualizing projects and writing scripts, to storyboarding and recording voice overs; from camera operating to studio lighting; and from video editing to on-air and motion graphic design.
It was at the Comcast Network where I was nominated for an 2002 Emmy for motion graphic design; the nominated ad can be seen on my online portfolio on my website: www.ellsworthdynamic.com.
