Born in North York, Ontario, Joe Osei Bonsu has always had a fascination for the visual arts. His inspiration originates from all the comic books and animated shows that were exposed to him, during his adolescence. This fascination for the visual arts would encourage Joe to enroll in schools such as Sheridan College (Art Fundamentals), and Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology (Digital Media Arts and 3D Animation). During his college days constantly take part-time art classes such as Life Drawing, and Perspective for Animators, to improve his drawings skills. After finishing school, Joe started working on design (web/graphic) and illustration projects for individuals such as make-up artist, Lisette Diaz, photographer Melissa Moffat, Shawn Cuffie, CEO/Founder of DLM Dance and Entertainment, fashion designer, Bruno Ierullo, and rapper/producer/songwriter, Jhevon Paris to name a few.
In 2005, Joe co-founded Heroes of the World (formerly Heroes of the Caribbean) with his good friend, Mark Williams. The comic-inspired brand features heroes and villains that represent different countries around the world.
Joe is currently works as a freelance artist in the Greater Toronto Area (Toronto/Mississauga).

Seneca College – Toronto, Ontario Jan 2004 – August 2007
Studied both Digital Media Arts and Digital (3D) Animation programs during my 3 years at Seneca. With Digital Media Arts, we basically mixed concepts of traditional media and new media; allow us to learn flash, web design, graphic design, sound and video editing, and basic 3D animation. During my last semester, I took part in the “field placement” program where I was required to work 100 hours at the MCJB Entertainment Company as their web/graphic designer.
I have a solid understanding of the processes that are involved in design industry. As a graduating student of the Digital Animation and Digital Media Arts programs at Seneca College, I have gathered a vast array of skills. My knowledge of software includes a majority of the Adobe programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to web designing tools, such as Dreamweaver and Flash. I also possess skills with 3D software such as 3Ds Max and Maya.
