I am a recent graduate from Kent State University. I received a D.S. degree in Journalism/Mass Communication and am interesting in obtaining a position with a company that offers potential for growth. I assure you I would be highly motivated and capable to perform in a wide variety of tasks. Two years ago I completed a five-week program in recording and audio production, explained in greater detail on my attached resume. The recording Workshop program that I completed in 2009 provided me with a great amount of field experience, and allowed me to work with multiple types of audio production equipment in various studio settings. Besides the technical aspects it provided, team building and communication skills were heavily emphasized throughout the program. I have continued to take on numerous freelance projects in the audio field and have been actively involved in audio production since this workshop. In addition to my hands on training in audio, I also gained substantial writing and production experience while interning at a news radio station this past summer. I perfected my skills in news writing and communication and developed a firm grasp of on-air production. Also, I learned to work well under pressure with constant time constraints. I am very eager to begin my career. It would be great to have an opportunity to speak with you about possible employment. Many thanks for your consideration.
