Said "IF ONLY TEARS If tears were a bridge to heaven I would cry me a river to get to you Each drop was preciously made Especially for you up in heaven I would handle each tear with love And store them in a fragile glass of care Where hurt couldn’t find a way to touch you And brag wouldn’t destroy its foundations I would give you all my attention The best in me to see you grow As each step took formation Flourishing from the eyes of a lover Each drop takes form As the heart exhales the pain within Through each drop that calls out your name As it sets to build the first step to you Until the eye couldn’t see it no more I took a step and the next Upon the staircase of teardrops But sank each time I tried I tried and tried to get to you But collapsed each time again My heart pained each time I failed It hurt so bad I asked myself why I failed you in every possible way Even after death as I wept openly Knowing I couldn’t be with you in death If and if only Tears were a bridge to heaven"
