Hello. As a former Director of Corporate Communications as well as a performing musician and lecturer, I have very well-honed instincts regarding audience engagement. I have also co-written a number of books, including two NY Times best sellers, many of them personal histories. Pat Riley, now President of the Miami Heat organization, has made extensive use in his very successful public speaking career of materials we co-created for his best selling books. When Sheila Johnson, co-founder of BET and a well-known philanthropist, delivered a speech I wrote for her, she received a standing ovation, as reported in the NY Times.
Thanks for your consideration. I would be happy to discuss your speech with you, and feel confident we could create a very worthy script together.

Best wishes,

Hello. I'd like to add to the message I sent previously. I proposed a consultation. The cost of that consultation would be deducted from writing fees, should you decide to engage me to complete your proposal. I can't give you an estimate for the writing fees until I know morerabout your project, but for a rule of thumb I usually get from $6.5K to $16K for a complete proposal, depending on the complexity of the sample material desired.

Best wishes,

Hello. I'd appreciate your consideration for your autobiographical book project. I consider myself to be among the best in the business. My work on Wolfman Jack's autobiography, HAVE MERCY! won reviews like these: "...a white-hot rock & roll epic" (L.A. Times) and "Full of extraordinary showbiz tales, the book is a wide-open door into the heart and soul of the most interesting and lovable rock & roll animal on the planet. Rating: A." (Entertainment Weekly) I can supply passages from these and other books, including the two New York Times best-sellers that I wrote with NBA legend Pat Riley, now president of the Miami Heat.
Thanks for your consideration. I hope that I may hear from you soon.

Best wishes,

This sounds like a great project for me to be involved in. I've had an interest in Eastern thought for some time, and have been to a number of talks by Alan Wallace of the Santa Barbara Institute for Consciousness Studies. I've also written many books for major publishers, including two NY Times best sellers. I hope that I may discuss your project with you soon.

Best wishes,

Hello. A couple of the themes that run through my work are blues and other roots American music and basketball, which both have led me to lots of contact with African-American culture, including playing pickup games with (among many others) Arsenio Hall and Denzel Washington, as well as being a performing singer/musician, and giving performance-based lectures on the history of the blues. Sections of HAVE MERCY!, the autobiography I wrote for the late Wolfman Jack, which I can send on request, highlight that aspect of my work. More importantly, I'm extremely skilled at writing books in a voice that sounds and feels authentic in relation to the personalities of my collaborators. I hope I have the chance to discuss your project with you. I'd also like to throw out the suggestion that you look into crowdsourcing as a project funding source, if you haven't explored that already.

Hello. I'm intrigued by your project. I spent time in grad school and served as a grad teaching assistant, but took a job offer and didn't remain to experience the full trek to a doctorate. Hope you like my resume and skill set and will be in touch.

Hello. I have some experience with real estate, having rehabbed some houses for re-sale, and believe I could immediately be a true asset to your project. Please check my resume to see whether you feel the potential as well.
