This was a motion graphics assignment, using 30 seconds of the song Eros and Apollo by Studio Killers. For the production of this project, I made a few moodboard sketches, storyboards and other pre production planning. This was made using Adobe After Effects.

From August 2020 to November 2020, I took part in an online internship with Tokyo Weekender, one of the oldest English speaking magazine publishers in Japan. Over the period of the semester, we were given briefs that had set periods for feedback, then submission. For the 5th brief, the task was to create a header image for an assigned article. Since mine was about COVID-19 in Japan and how it effects the old technologies in Japanese offices, I decided to go for a vintage inspired illustration. I took inspiration from old Japanese editorial illustrations and advertisements, and 80's-90's fashion trends. I was also lucky enough to have my work chosen to be used on their website! https://www.tokyoweekender.com/2020/09/will-see-reset-japans-archaic-society-post-covid-19/

This is the first spread for my picture book adaption of Peter and the Wolf. Here I took inspiration from Russian folk art, and focused on giving the backgrounds a stylised look.

This is a turnaround based on a character that was created using three keywords; itchy, terrible and boiling. And so, I made a hot head little half dragon boy, who lives in the desert and carries around a kettle with him. This was for sure a fun assignment, and a great chance at making a character design.

A single page from one of my mini comics. By The Harbour is a short wordless comic about a first date, and is my first published comic. This was made for Myth 4, which is a comic anthology run by the Curtin Illustration Club. Myth 4 was published in 2019. For this comic I wanted to create something cute, lighthearted and colourful without any dialogue. I had a lot of fun with this, and I was quite happy with the end result!

The cover of one of my pictures books, titled "Dessert Party." In this story I wanted to explore desserts in different cultures, while also having a go at making and publishing a children's picture book.

This was for the Aesthetica art zine, featuring redraws of famous fine art pieces with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure characters. This image here is referencing Hans Zatzka's "Oath of Love," and using characters from JoJolion.

A redraw of the Rainbow Magic fairies, a series that I loved as a child. Here I am reimagining them in my own style.

One image from a series of illustrations that explores the loss of childhood innocence from an adult perspective. I took inspiration from my own experience, as I used to believe in fairies when I was a child. Unfortunately as I grew older I came to understand that these fantasy creatures aren't real at all. As adults we are expected to leave these childish fantasies behind and face the realities of the world.
