Thank you both very much :) In this case I was able to dissect and study the anatomy of specimens in my invertebrate zoology course, but the squids themselves are based off many compiled references of Sepioteuthis lessoniana. I'm glad you like the composition, it took three pages of thumbnails to get it right!

Scientific, medical artist and illustrator, holding a B.S. in illustration and biology, and a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators
I offer illustrative services specializing, but not limited to, artwork depicting the natural world, including anatomical renderings and species interactions. I work in both traditional and digital media, using both to create highly vivid, memorable, educational illustrations.
