I usually prefer traditional media to work done with machines - when everyone has the same type of computer and the same software the work ends up all looking the same as well. You've taken that "same media" and come up with a very distinctive look. I would have been hard pressed to figure how you did this on my own.....

One way I approach the piece is simply sink my personality into it, and have conversations with the unraveling image on the canvas. In time, they will tell you what they want to look like, so it would just be a matter of fun conversation as the piece reveal it self.
